Courtney Marie Savino (born 1998[1]) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer and teacher. Her album "It's Time for Roller Skating" gained thousands of listeners across platforms.[2][3] In her hometown of New Milford, Connecticut, she played roles in school.[4]

Background

Savino was At the age of 7, she played a role in a ballet performance of The Nutcracker at Warner, Bushnell and Palace theaters.[5] At the age of 13 she starred as "Belle" in a school production of Beauty and the Beast, in which she performed for hundreds of people at the Warner Theatre in Torrington, Connecticut.[4][5]

Early career

Savino's first 12 songs were released in her first studio album "Finding Home", a pop album, released on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube on September 2, 2016.[8] Initially only the title song of the album gained success on all platforms where it was published.[8][9]

Second album

Nearly two years later, she released her second studio album, "Brave as a Warrior", with fourteen songs on January 16, 2018.[10] The album's song "Rules of Rarity" became Savino's most popular song having gathered a few hundred listeners.[11]

Pandemic, single and most popular song

After a three-year pause in her music career, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Savino released a single named "It's Time for Roller Skating" on August 1, 2021.[12]

This single garnered thousands of listeners and viewers on Spotify and YouTube (Between 4,000 and 5,000 listeners between 2020 and 2024) becoming her most listened song, primarily on YouTube where it gained more than 3,000[3] and on Spotify where it nearly gained 2,000.[13] After the song was released, Savino stopped releasing music to pursue a career as a teacher at Westside Middle School Academy.[14]
