Cove Communities is an American private real estate investment trust that invests in manufactured homes and recreational vehicle communities. It was founded by Colleen Edwards and David Napp in 2017 and is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.[1][2]
Overview
Cove Communities was founded in 2017 by Colleen Edwards (CEO) and David Napp (chairman). Since then, the company has acquired 257 recreational vehicles (RV) and manufactured home communities with over 10,600 sites in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.[2][3][4]
In March 2018, the company purchased the Point Sebago Resort, a 775-acre resort on Sebago Lake in Casco.[5] Later in September, the company acquired the Holiday RV Resort.[6]
In December 2020, the company acquired two manufactured home communities in Sarasota County for $165 million.[1][7][8] In the same month, the company acquired an RV resort in the Florida Keys named Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge (BPKFL).[9][10]
Recognition
In 2020, the communities won six awards at Cornwall Tourism Awards, including three gold awards: Holiday Park of the Year, Wellbeing and Spa Experience of the Year, and Unsung Hero for Gary Zammit at Feadon Wildlife Centre, and three silver awards, including Wedding Venue of the Year, Accessible & Inclusive Tourism, and Small Visitor Attraction of the Year.[citation needed]
