Ayodeji Olatunde Olowu, known professionally as Cracker Mallo[1] 18th of August 1996[2] is a Nigerian music producer, Recording Artist, and songwriter hailing from the Lagos Island region of Lagos State, Nigeria. His sound comprises a fusion of a wide variety of genres built on Afro Beats as the foundation.

Early life[edit]

Ayodeji Olatunde Olowu was born in Lagos, Nigeria . He is from the Yoruba ethnic group in Nigeria. He received his primary education at Havilah Crest Private School in Lagos. He afterward enrolled at Murtala Muhammed Airport School[3], Lagos there he completed his secondary education. Ayodeji studied Building Technology in the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Career[edit]

Cracker is seen as one of the biggest producers coming from Nigeria a part of West-Africa working on some of the biggest hits on the continent. His song titled 'In A Jiffy' is the first single released under his own name.

The song was produced and mixed by Cracker Mallo and mastered by Robin Hunt at Atlas Studios Berlin.

The song "In a Jiffy" was created in Lagos, 2018. Composed and produced by Cracker. It's the result of Cracker's attempt to explore the Afro Swing sound. The Lyrics contain a narration of his personal experiences and what he has learned in the music industry so far.

Cracker also met Mr Real in 2012, and would often had worked at the artiste’s studio with other producers. In 2018, Mr Real impacted Cracker Mallo’s return from a self-imposed break by producing the hit single ‘Issa Banger’. After stumbling on different tag names such as ‘Drum Head’ and ‘Cracker Beats’, Ayodeji settled on ‘Cracker Mallo.

He is also played a key role in the production of Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps[4] by Nigerian singer Fireboy DML. It was released by YBNL Nation on November 29, 2019.
