"Crart" is a new term to describe the act of undertaking 'arts and crafts'. The term is used specifically with regard to its context. Context for this term is derived from a sense of obligation to undertake arts and craft begrudgingly. The term is similar to 'Shart' which is the joining of two slang words for flatulence and defecation. It holds similarity due to the messiness of obligating to undertake an arts and craft project.

The Term 'Crart' was first used by a group of University Students in Canberra, ACT. It was during a university residential program, that three students first coined this term after describing an arts and craft project as 'Crart'.

Since it's inception, 'Crart' has been used many times by other persons and has found its way into the common language of public servants of Canberra. The use of the term in this context is limited to any activity where use of scissors or cutting of paper occurs in an office context.

The term 'Crart' has been submitted for use in Collins Dictionary in 2021.
