Creative License is a musical comedy, book and lyrics by Kevin Cirone, music by Cirone, Spencer Elliott and Dan Rodriguez.

History[edit]

Creative License has a New York premiere at the New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC)[1] on August 20, 2015. The New York premiere features Michael Levesque, Shonna Cirone, Katie Anne Clark, Robert D. Murphy, Jake Alexander and Maritza Bostic, with a guest appearance by the playwright. The show was directed and choreographed by Rachel Bertone and music directed by Dan Rodriguez.

The first workshop was held at the Davis Square Theater in Somerville, Massachusetts July 24-August 2, 2014. The workshop was directed by Kevin Cirone and featured Michael Levesque, Sarah Leary, Kevin Groppe, Ross E. Brown, Varsha Raghavan and David Lucey. It was nominated for Best New Work by MyEntertainmentWorld[2] and ArtsImpulse,[3] which also nominated David Lucey for Best Supporting Actor.
