Cristian Stevens is an American judge on the Missouri Court of Appeals who is a nominee to be a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.[1]
Education
Stevens earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from University of Missouri , and his J.D., cum laude, from University of Missouri School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Missouri Law Review.
Nomination to district court
On May 6, 2025, President Trump announced his intent to nominate Stevens to serve as a United States District Judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. On June 4, 2025, a hearing on his nomination was held before the Senate Judiciary Committee. On June 26, 2025, the Committee reported his nomination favorably to the senate floor by a vote of 12-10.[2] His nomination is currently pending before the full Senate.[3]
