CroXhenge

CroXhenge is a collection of 170 stone boulders weighing 300 kilograms each, funded by the Three Rivers District council, located on the Green of the village Croxley Green in Hertfordshire, England. The purpose of these boulders is to block vehicle incursions to protect and maintain the Green from traffic caused by two neighbouring pubs. This action could have been caused by the annual (but now permanently discontinued) Carters Steam Fair, where attractions, vendors, and cars park on the Green to enjoy the fair.
The boulders on the Green were placed in early August 2025, and are planned to remain until otherwise. As of August 2025[update], there are no scheduled Croxley Green Paris Council meetings[1] that have been planned to discuss this monumental change in Croxley Green history.
The presence of these boulders has had mixed, but mainly negative reviews.[2] Residents of Croxley Green state that the damage caused by the vehicles importing the boulders and the boulders themselves are "beyond belief" and "shocking".[3]
