History[edit]
Jude began his career in the music industry as a DJ and producer in early 2014[7]. After receiving advice from various industry officials, he launched Crowd Records in April 2014 and released his debut single "Tonight"[8] featuring singer, songwriter Nafsica[8], which garnered a plethora of digital media attention[9] and charted on prominent music sites such as Billboard[10] and Beatport[11].
In 2015, the label took it's first step into the events space by launching Risky Business Presents[12], a branded promotions and events company focused primarily on the underground dance music scene[13]. Over the years, Risky Business Presents has held residencies at notable Brooklyn nightclubs including Output[14], House Of Yes[15], and Verboten[16], along with club and festival takeovers in various cities across the globe such as Amsterdam, Mexico City, Miami, Tel Aviv, and more[17] A. lifelong love affair with music Indefinitely Wild Frequent Flyer Flawed human Inked savage Part-time photographer + night athlete Avid hiker Ramen is}}</ref>. In December 2016, the company launched it's first official sub-label, Risky Business Records[18]
In March 2016, Crowd Records signed "Stellar"[19] produced by New York based DJ duo Disco Killerz[20] and BPM (Sirius XM) host Liquid Todd[21], featuring singer, songwriter Jimmy Gnecco. It amassed over 5 million[22] combined Spotify and YouTube plays between the original and remixes, achieved the #1 position[23] on BPM (Sirius XM), and hit #23[24] at it's peak on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. In August 2016, the Dutch dance music powerhouse, Armada Music, rereleased the record along with the remixes in an exclusive licensing deal with Crowd Records.
In early 2019, the company rebranded to Crowd Music Group[25] as the parent company, encompassing Crowd Records[26] as the flagship record label.
