Crowe are an independent alternative rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Crowe formed in 2009, over a shared obsession for fuzz pedals, and loud rock n' roll. The bands line up consists of lead singer, rhythm guitarist and lyricist Tim Crowe, Stephen Sydor on lead guitar and vocals, Sean Dubreuil on bass guitar, and Don Reilly on drums and vocals.[1] Their sound features melodic guitar driven tunes, fueled by fuzzy bass lines, in the tradition of 70's rock icons T-Rex. [2][3]

History[edit]

In 2012, Crowe emerged onto Toronto's music scene, racking up stage time at The Horseshoe Tavern, Lee's Palace, the Hideout, the Cameron House, and The Hard Rock Cafe. As the year progressed, recording of their debut album was underway.[1] In December of 2012, with the help of a few working tracks in circulation online, they were featured as "Indie Band of the Month" on CFNY-FM Toronto[4] resulting in 102.1 broadcasting their song "Troubadour". The bands self titled debut album was released shortly thereafter. Local radio took notice, with the LP being put into rotation and charting on local college radio, and reaching as high as #3 on CFMU-FM's top 30 countdown. [5]

Crowe's follow up LP, Crowe 2.0 was released in April of 2014 to enthusiastic reviews. [6][7][8] The album stays true to Crowe's core rock ethos, while exploring new directions, demonstrating a maturity in the bands playing, and song writing ability. Following its release, the album was put into rotation on local college radio, with a few tracks from the album being showcased on CIUT-FM's Unsigned Radio on May 2, 2014. The band celebrated the release of the album with a live performance in Toronto at Lee's Palace on April 25, 2014.

Crowe regularly perform at venues in the Greater Toronto Area.
