Crowne Plaza Vientiane is the first international five-star hotel and the first InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) property in Laos. The hotel is located on Samsenthai road right next to Chao Fa Ngum park. The hotel opened on 28 January 2017. The property is owned by BIM Group from Vietnam, and is managed by IHG.
The hotel has 198 rooms including eight suites. All accommodation types feature a full-size bathtub, a separate rain shower, and a wireless internet access.
The hotel can host an event for up to 1012 guests with nine functions, meetings and event space.
The hotel has two restaurants: Mosaic is market-style dining with live interactive cooking stations;[clarification needed] 3 Merchants serves Lao, Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Malaysian dishes.
