CueSports International
CueSports International (CSI) is a pool promoting organization based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The group, founded by Billiards Congress of America Hall of Fame inductee Mark Griffin in 2004,[1] has been owned and operated by Ozzy Reynolds since 2018.[2] CSI operates two amateur pool leagues (BCAPL and USAPL), and stages a billiards trade exposition in Las Vegas that features major professional ten-ball tournaments, in conjunction with the amateur leagues' national championships.[3]
Both leagues share a rulebook based on the standard rules of the World Pool Association (WPA), with the addition of wheelchair rules, team-play adaptations, and applied rulings from years of large-scale tournament administration.
BCA Pool League
The BCA Pool League (BCAPL) is one of the major amateur pool leagues in the United States and is present in over a dozen other countries outside the US, with a significant presence in Canada. Originally operated directly by the Billiard Congress of America, the BCAPL has been operated by CSI since 2004.[4][1]
The BCAPL has approximately 450 local leagues with 60,000+ members.
USA Pool League
Beginning in the 2009/2010 season, CSI introduced a second league, the USA Pool League (USAPL), aimed at a more casual player.
International Expo
CSI stages the annual CSI Expo, a large cue-sports trade fair held in Las Vegas in late February.[5] The expo includes many events, including the BCAPL and USAPL national championships, and a series of professional ten-ball events, including the Las Vegas Open individual event, and WPA World Ten-ball Championship teams event, as part of the Predator Pro Billiards Series.
