Culture Amp is an Australian software company based in Melbourne, Australia. The company is the developer of a SaaS provider of employee surveys, including engagement, recruitment and on-boarding surveys (formerly called Murmur).[2] The company's founding team of four includes CEO Didier Elzinga, former CEO of Rising Sun Pictures[3] and a Board Member of Tourism Australia.[4]
History
The primary focus of Culture Amp is surveys relating to employee engagement. However, the product supports a variety of survey types, including Onboard and Exit surveys. Culture Amp is part of a toolset that is moving away from traditional annual surveys, to more frequent pulse surveys.[5]
In February 2015, the company announced it has taken USD$6.3 million in Series A funding, led by Felicis Ventures, Index Ventures and Blackbird Ventures.[6] As part of the investment, Wesley Chan, founder of Google Analytics and Google Voice, will join the board.[7]
Products
Culture Amp's SaaS platform was released in August 2012.[8] The software is used by start-up companies notable for their culture, including Airbnb, Hulu, Modcloth, Pinterest and Etsy.[2][9][10] Etsy includes Murmur results as part of their Values & Impact Report.[11][12] In October 2012, BambooHR, one of the leading SaaS provider of human resource software for small and medium businesses, and Culture Amp announced an integration between BambooHR and Culture Amp’s SaaS software Murmur.[13]

Culture Amp's advisors include CEO of Atlassian, Scott Farquhar[1] and Greylock Talent Partner, Dan Portillo.[1][14][15]
Awards and recognition
In 2012, Culture Amp (then called Murmur) won the HR Tech "Awesome New Technologies for HR" Award.[16] Culture Amp was also selected as one of Gartner's "Cool" Vendors of 2013.[16]
