Cultured Magazine is an independent print magazine focusing on contemporary creative cultural production in the fields of contemporary art, architecture, design, fashion, film and music.[1] Cultured Magazine has been in operation for 8 years, and is published four times a year. It is distributed throughout North America and Europe.[2]

Cultured Magazine was founded in 2012 by White Haus Media Group's Sarah Harrelson and Carlos Suarez. Harrelson has served as the magazine's editor-in-chief since its inception.[3]
In 2017, Forbes called the magazine an "internationally recognized art and design publication."[4] In 2016, The New York Post's Page Six dubbed it "an award-winning art, design and architectural magazine"[5]
The magazine's covers have featured pioneers in their respective disciplines, that span the diverse range from music, acting, art, architecture, film, curating, fashion design, and television writing, including figures like Solange Knowles, Anicka Yi, Yara Shahidi, Janelle Monae, Grimes, Arthur Jafa, Rowan Blanchard, Denise Scott Brown, Dev Hynes, Virgil Abloh, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, Shirin Neshat, Henry, Taylor, Harmony Korine, Takashi Murakami, Terrance Nance, Lena Waithe, Daniel Lee, Titus Kaphar, Kerby Jean-Raymond, Ilana Glazer, Abbi Jacobson, Alicia Keys, Alessandro Michele, Toyin Ojih Odutola, Raymond Pettibon, David Adjaye, Cecilia Alemani & Massimiliano Gioni, James Turrell, Swizz Beatz , Kenny Scharf and Thelma Golden.[6]
Grimes gave a tell all and publicly changed her name to "c" in a cover piece for the magazine's Fashion issue in 2019.[7]
