Cupón Club is a Salvadoran e-commerce deal-of-the-day website that offers discount coupons in El Salvador and Guatemala. It started operations in December 2010[2], launching a website for online purchases for El Salvador in January 2011[3] and for Guatemala in 2012[4]. Cupón Club follows the same business model of Groupon[5], the precursor company in the online deal marketplace industry from Chicago that was launched in 2008. The direct competitors of Cupón Club are Cucupones, Cupontento, GuateCupones and BienChilero in Guatemala; and Cupón Grupo and PagaPoco in El Salvador.
