Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Cyber security is a growing concern for governments and utility providers. Increasing automation and the implementation of IoT (internet of things) devices has made the need for cyber security grow substantially. This means that personnel trained in cyber security will be needed in the coming years to assist with the security of critical infrastructure.

This is a growing concern amongst utility providers. Fifty-four percent of global utilities surveyed by Siemens expect an OT (operational technology) attack within 12 months.[1]. Of the global utilities surveyed by Siemens only fourty-two percent rated their own readiness and response to cyberattacks as high [2]
