Cynthia Ebinger is a professor of earth and environmental sciences at the University of Rochester known for her research on seafloor spreading.
Education and career[edit]
Ebinger's undergraduate degree is from Duke University (1982).[1] She has a M.Sc from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1986)[2] and a Ph.D. from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution / Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1988).[3] Following her Ph.D. she was a professor at University of London and a lecturer at the University of Leeds. She moved to the University of Rochester in 2006 where she is currently a full professor.[1]
