Cynthia Liddell
Cynthia (Cindy) Liddell (March 8, 1944 – January 4, 2011) was a member of Sonic Arts Union, a collective of experimental musicians that was active between 1966 and 1976 in New York. Her voice is heard in Robert Ashley's Purposeful Lady Slow Afternoon, a piece of Automatic Writing released in 1996. Also, Cynthia Liddell's picture appears in Robert Ashley's graphic score Four Scenes, from the book Do It compendium. She participated among others in Robert Ashley's Quartet, a piece of Music from the ONCE Festival 1961-1966 recorded at The ONCE Festival, where she was one of the regular contributors[1]. In Kyle Gann's book Robert Ashley[2], Cynthia Liddell can be seen in a photo that portrays the ONCE Group and Judson Dance Theater members.
