June, better known by their recording alias Cynthoni (or formerly Sewerslvt) is an anonymous electronic musician based in Australia. Very little is known about June due to their low social media presence and hidden identity. They are based in Sydney, Australia and use they/them pronouns.
Their work is often cited as a big influence to the breakcore and modern drum and bass scenes.
Biography
June first started making music under the alias Sadboy Sheldon where they would release mashup music. Following their gender transition they would adopt the name Sewerslvt, making instrumental hip-hop music before venturing into the drum and bass genre with their 2018 self-titled EP, which featured their breakout hit 'Pretty Cvnt'. All of their music before 2019's Drowning in the Sewer has been since deleted as June believes it is not representative of where they're at now.
Following the death of June's girlfriend and numerous controversies, they released the tribute album we had good times together, don't forget that before taking an indefinite hiatus.
June later returned in May 2024 under the alias Cynthoni[4], with the EP Sewerslvt Presents: Cynthoni, Pt. 1 featuring a collab with VTuber Projekt Melody. Later that month, they produced two tracks off Bring Me The Horizon's Post Human: Nex Gen, (OST) Dreamseeker and (OST) P.U.S.S.-E.
In 2025, they released a remake of 2020's Draining Love Story titled Draining Love Story (In The Eyes Of Cynthoni). The album featured reworked production and a retitled tracklist. This would be followed by a collaboration EP with Projekt Melody and an appearance on Danny Brown's track The End.
In December 2025, they released the mixtape LAMENTING MALICE exclusive to Bandcamp, Patreon & physical copies in protest of royalty rates and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek's investment in German defense technology company Helsing[5][6]. The mixtape is a precursor to June's upcoming debut album trilogy[7]
Controversy
Cover art
In 2018, The album cover art associated with "Child Sacrifice" was initially thought to feature gore, leading to backlash. However, it was later confirmed that the cover art was a drawing, not an actual gore image. The album "Starving Slvts Always Get Their Fix" allegedly had inappropriate cover art. These covers were censored on streaming platforms.
Music Samples
In their 2017 album "Don't Be Afraid of Dying", the opening track featured a sample of a phone call made by a girl who found her brother's body following his suicide. On their 2019 album "Drowning in the Sewer", there was a sample of a live-streamed suicide "Nothingness".
Racism
In 2017, Sewer used racial slurs for 2 of their album titles, which led to backlash. In December 2020, Sewer apologized for their edgy past, saying they heavily regretted it and were hoping, to distance themselves from it.[8] They also donated $2000 to The Okra Project.[9]
