Cyrus Vandrevala
Cyrus Vandrevala is an investor and philanthropist, and Co-Founder and General Partner of Seminal Capital Holdings, with Buck Buckley. He currently serves as founder and Chairman of Intrepid Capital Partners Mr. Vandrevala is also a well-known international philanthropist and is co-founder of the Vandrevala Foundation. He received the Global Investor of the Year Award at the 2017 Asian Business Awards.
Mr. Vandrevala’s investment strategy straddles public and private investments including mezzanine equity, private equity and minority venture capital investments. Intrepid Capital Partners is an investment platform that forms part of the Vandrevala family office. This platform is exclusively focused on private, unlisted growth equity investments. It was founded by Cyrus Vandrevala and the late Pete Musser in 2002.
Over it’s history, the platform has managed several investments mainly in technology, business services and real estate. It has successfully exited several of these investments through merging them with market leaders, IPOs or strategic sales to private-equity funds. Key exits include:
(i) Zenta -a business outsourcing company focused on the financial services industry that was sold to GTCR (www.gtcr.com)for approximately $100m.
(ii) Burke Consolidated Ltd, a consolidator of real estate properties in India, that was sold to a publicly listed entity on the London Stock Exchange-AIM Market for approximately $400m.
(iii) Radius ( www.radiusgs.com)-an accounts receivable management and revenue cycle management company headquartered in the US which was founded by ICP was sold for $32m plus an undetermined earnout.
(iv) Nelito (www.Nelito.com )- a business services outsourcing company focused on the financial services sector in India, a JV with the Tata group was sold for an undisclosed amount to DTS Corporation of Japan.
