Cyvern: The Dragon Weapons is a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up game released in 1998 by Japanese company Kaneko. The game runs on the Super Kaneko Nova System arcade board that also runs Kaneko's other title Panic Street, which was released a year later.

Gameplay

In the game, the player can control one of three dragons; Altair, Schwarz and Ferious, as they travel through various levels, while shooting enemies. The attack button can be held down to make a powerful shot, yet it makes the player slower and they need to banish in order to use it. If the hold-on shot weapon is wielded on an enemy, various items (or a better power-up item) can be picked up, each one replacing a higher scoring item. The more items are picked up, the more high-scoring items are available.

Cyvern: The Dragon Weapons can be played by up to two players simultaneously. The second player can join in at any time when inserting credits.
