D&E Media LLC is a Delaware incorporated[7] limited liability corporation which is the parent company of the 'Adult Doorway' and 'Ghetto Doorway' porn rings. D&E bases its offices in East Orange, New Jersey and was founded by Donald Emil Vollenweider in 2003, better known by the alias Duke Skywalker.
The company is perhaps best known outside of the industry for its role in the sudden blitz of unwanted celebrity status endured by former Duke University Student Miriam Weeks when her double-life as an adult film performer was revealed by fellow Duke University student Thomas Bagley.[8] Belle Knox's first-ever porn scene, which she has specifically stated regret for, was for FacialAbuse, a D&E Media brand.
D&E Media is also featured in the film Hot Girls Wanted, wherein Ava Kelly, one of the young porn actresses featured in the documentary does a scene for "FacialAbuse", which Barbara Herman of International Business Times describes as "easily the most disturbing scene of the documentary".[9]
The studios are (or at least were until recently) located in a repurposed 1800s factory complex owned by the Seabury Family of Johnson & Johnson marketed to commercial tenants as 'Manufacturer's Village'.[10]
The Delaware incorporated D&E Media LLC is the sole shareholder of 'DE Multimedia LTD', a UK shell company or pass-through company through which Donald funnels revenue from his New Jersey based abuse-porn production and distribution businesses to a third company, DME Multimedia LTD, believed to have been established on Donald's behalf by the Nevis International Trust Company LTD, in the privacy-friendly tax haven of Saint Kitts & Nevis.[11]
