Early Life
D.R.G, also known as Da Roking Guy, is a recording artist from the east of Johannesburg. He started rapping at a very young age at school. He also learned how to make beats at a young age. He decided to take it more seriously in 2010 and went on to make DJ mixtapes, songs, and distribute them through SoundCloud, datafilehost and other media hosting sites.
Career
D.R.G released his first official track, Paragons of Drum, which also featured on D-Malice’s compilation album, which debuted on all digital platforms in 2014. He dropped his debut joint project with Slegza titled The Chronicles of Dab on the 13th of October 2017 on SoundCloud and Slikour on Life. The project managed to get over 50,000 streams on SoundCloud and also had successful feedback, allowing him to travel to Botswana for a radio interview with Yarona FM and also co-host a live show with over 500 people in attendance. D.R.G dropped his debut solo EP titled No Cap Rap on May 13th, 2020, on all digital platforms.
