D.R.O.N.E. (Dynamic Remotely Operated Navigation Equipment) is a sci-fi multiplayer arena shooter developed by Five Studios Interactive that allows players to create their own arenas and drones.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

Players compete in a variety of game modes such as Deathmatch and Racing either as free-for-all or in teams. As players progress through the game, they gain access to new components that allow them to build more complex drones and arenas.[1] Moreover, player creations can be shared with each other within the game.

Drones come in different types, such as: aerial, ground, and underwater. Hybrid drones that can be operated in multiple environments are also possible. Depending on their size, drones can be big and heavily armored or small and agile.[1]

Besides the specific components, arenas can be created in different environments ranging from molten volcanoes to hollowed out construction sites and have different rulesets.[1] Further variety in arena designs comes from different weather types (for instance, torrential rain and meteor showers) which can occur randomly during gameplay.
