Kian Shahrokhi (born November 25, 2001) known as DJ Paradox is a Persian rapper, songwriter, DJ and record producer. In order to bring his full potential in the music industry to life, he has been writing songs and making beats in different genres. Born and raised in Tehran capital city of Iran, DJ Paradox Inspired by Old school rap songs. He claims those songs convey the true meaning of life and how struggling it could be, so it’s one of a kind art. Paradox has gone through some tough times, mainly because of the country he grew in, education was/is the sole way of becoming a successful person. Life had challenged him horribly by making him both study and work in the music industry. At first, He only created beats to see whether he is capable of rapping on them or not, but as it turned out, he wasn’t ready. After three years at the age of 18, he finally decided to take a chance in music industry, so he released The Lost Legacy which includes 8 tracks, each with a different style and special implication. Giving people great impressions of him, continued his career with self-confidence. It was 2017 that Paradox wanted to release some of his older projects, just to see how people would react, However, the only obstacle in front of him was his dissatisfaction with his own voice, so decided to work on it. The Year 2019 DJ Paradox decided to release an EP called The Lost Legacy mostly he wanted to convey a message that anyone can be phenomenal, if only they decide to unravel their potentials which will bring them hope, self-confidence and inner peace. Meanwhile, after releasing his first album, he decided to release two instrumental tracks called, Ballers and House of Law. Subsequently, he worked on six singles during summer 2020. Three of his released singles are called The Circus, (SoundCloud exclusive), Animal Execution, and Trip to Heaven (all streaming platforms).

The Lost Legacy took about five months to be completed (four months for production and one month for lyrics). He created this album to send a message to all his fans, which was letting them know that the key to success is within ourselves. A while after his first album Paradox decided to continue his journey by releasing new tracks. Starting with the first one, The Circus uncovers the deception that the whole world is being controlled by a couple of puppeteers, even our daily life. Following the next track, Animal Execution puts the last touches on the story of The Circus. Inspired by George Orwell’s Animal Farm (initially published in England on 17 August 1945), letting his listeners know that every animal in power will die bleeding the same color, that’s when justice will be served equally. As his last release so far called Trip to Heaven, it’s way different than modern-day DJs style, he simply brought back 90s Rnb, written for every lover reminding us that we have to make heavy sacrifices to attain what we love the most. Especially if what we love is a person.
Artistry[edit]
As Paradox was growing up, many hip hop legends became his inspiration sources. For instance, Dr.Dre, Ice cube, Nate dogg, Kanye west, Eminem, Snoop dogg, Eazy E, 50 Cent, The Game, 2pac, The notorious B.i.g, Jay Z, Nas, Big Pun, Rakim, Big daddy Kane etc... He perceived their message and the effort they put in their works. As mentioned earlier, his release singles which are The Circus, Animal Execution and lastly Trip to Heaven.
The Lost Legacy[edit]
The Lost Legacy, is the first studio album by DJ Paradox with no features included. A solo album which was produced and written November 2019 - February 2020. paradox was inspired by Paulo Coelho’s novel called The Alchemist. He started working on his first album in the meantime he was checking The Long man dictionary, in order to improve his vocabulary for lyrics writing, so the quality of his raping could sound more professional. During production he decided to make every single track of his album represent distinct chapter of his life. His aim was to inform his listeners that he started from rock-bottom and as time passed, life got more difficult, however paradox never lost hope and faced every obstacle on his path which wanted to stop him from reaching his destination and that was, passion for music.
Background[edit]
Following the production of his first album, DJ Paradox was trying to explain all the stages of his life in 8 tracks which was hard for him at first. When he finished the first track, he called It Will Be Over, he found the path he was looking for. Paradox felt proud of himself, since he was doing something extraordinary as an independent artist who was writing in English, performing in a classic style, keeping it real and old school.
Music and Lyrics[edit]
The Lost Legacy is simply a representation of an exquisite treasure that is hidden inside every one and it takes a lot of sacrifices to open it, like always staying focused on our paths. When DJ Paradox was creating the album, he wanted to push the limits by making an enigma for every single one of his tracks. For instance, called his first track Will Be Over he stated that it’s hard working to the big stages all alone had paid off. Moving forward to 5th track, Night Crawler. Many people liked Night Crawler, but DJ Paradox considers Age of Noir as his best work on the album, chiefly because of the horrible things that happened to his people in early 2020s till the day the album got released. As for the final track on his project, was The Lost Legacy itself. Paradox tried to convey that with all the fortune and fame he’s still a lost boy searching for his Lost Legacy to unlock his insight as well as many people around the world.
Artwork[edit]
The album art was designed by DJs artwork artist called Ayatsdi. He told Paradox it’s better to restore wanderer vibe and the hidden treasure within. Queen Cleopatra on the main cover with her face shattered and fragmented, which is why we’ve had that treasure within us the whole time but we noticed so late. DJ Paradox Loved two parts of the cover the most. First, the title of album which the code was inside, if we don’t consider letters L, O, S, T the code would appear, which is The Legacy. Also on the track list cover, there is an image showing three different feelings, 1. Being straight, 2. Confident and 3. Disappointment.

1.Ballers[edit]
An instrumental track released by DJ Paradox, which brings back that 80s synth and techno vibe. His foremost objective of creating this project was to recall his good old days as a DJ, since it took 20 minutes for him to record this track, he broke his own record of production time. The reason that he picked this name was that not only to make you feel great and renegade, but also makes you feel like a rich baller, who does anything in spite of the limits and lives by his own rules.
Background
One of DJs best hobbies is spending time making beats, he said, once on a hot summer day that he was thinking about recreating an 80s type of music but this time with his own magic touch.

The main cover art for this project was handed to one of Paradox’s friend Ayat, he worked on the album art for approximately 2 weeks. And provided Paradox the exact type of cover he imagined, a thug known as rich baller hidden in the shadows.
2.House of Law[edit]
Moving along to another instrumental track by DJ Paradox, as both of his instrumental tracks Ballers and also House Of Law got released on the same day. But this time Paradox made a visualization of the golden 80s era, using both EDM and techno. He describes this track as a type of energy that keeps getting increased because in this track you can feel the exact meaning of Paradox. The track is called House Of Law but what you feel in the music and cover is exactly the opposite of it, and that’s an outlaw feeling, things being done the way we want it, against all rules.
Production
While House of law one of paradox’s best works till this day. Since he has never produced a track without purpose or a certain goal that can be achieved if we believe in our gut, this track was kind of masterpiece in his mind. It took him a few days to be completed, he put everything on the line for this one just to hear the sound he was looking for.

The artwork was designed by ayatsdi, making a cover in which the background is a church but he designed all in a different shape which shows even they weren’t used to laws.
Influences
DJ Paradox got many of his musical inspirations from classic songs and instrumentals created by some great legendary producers. He has always been fond of David Guetta and also Calvin Harris’s works, so he studied their tracks to see if he can find that special type of mixture that he was looking for. Fortunately Paradox found the style and performed it.
Animal Execution[edit]
Paradox has always been fan of George Orwell, and always got inspired by his works, mostly by Animal farm and 1984. While reading these two phenomenal books, DJ Paradox was excited to create a project which can show the status of his country with more details, like letting his listeners know that these pigs will not stand a chance against people anymore unless, there are people who are imposters dressed as humans but their true nature remains as pigs. DJ Paradox stated that this track was hard to create and write about, mainly because he didn’t know where to start from. After a while he wrote some lyrics Just to relieve his mind, but then he realized that some of his lyrics define this project, so he matched them up and continued to finish a masterpiece called Animal Execution.
Background
As Paradox grew older he noticed more and more about people and their daily struggles, it made him distressed to see talented people being wasted by some made up rules, just so some rich people can do whatever they want without limitations, being connected to some cables which leads them to the head of the big snake. DJ Paradox even used a voice from The Notorious B.I.G, in one of biggie’s songs he says, take notes so paradox told himself, that this would be a great start for his track Animal Execution, his main purpose was to again emphasize on the fact that these people will share same fate after death, just like rest of humanity.
Music and Lyrics
Paradox always uses diverse ways to express his true feelings about the subjects of his songs, like in Age Of Noir he pleased many of his listeners, this track is the next episode of his previous work, that completes a dark story which has been on loop for many years. The lyrics are based on facts that many people know, but are not willing to change it.

A magnificent artwork by ayatsdi, which shows many people waiting for the execution of animals referring to pigs, which this accomplishment was made by horses, meaning the people who work hard with the help of snakes defining the people who stab the pigs behind their backs without them even knowing.
Trip To Heaven[edit]
As far as we have known about DJ Paradox, he likes to keep his songs hitting hard while discoursing the truth, but in this one, the style of performance is different from his previous works. His latest release is called Trip To Heaven. He made this track so clean and striking that makes listeners feel 90s Rnb music. Based on DJs own love story, He stated that he had to sing with full sincerity, making sure the girl he loved will be forever in his dream.
Background
DJ Paradox stated that, “It was all like a dream until it came into reality, felt like a witcher who has powerful magical powers”. One of the main reasons for creating this Rnb type music was that Paradox had a crush on a beautiful girl, that as if she’s his soulmate, but later on she moved to another place. The passion and affection young couple were in was so strong as if they knew each other for a very long time, but in fact it was quite short time. Inspired by some great legends in this genre of music like R.Kelly and Aaliyah. Paradox recreated classic vibe, making it sound simple but at the same time lovely. Artwork’s again by ayatsdi, which DJ Paradox asked him to create an image based on what young couples in deep love would look like. So ayat created an art which described heaven in the mind of his loved one, a woman who’s waiting for her soulmate to cherish his arrival and the upcoming good times, for the rest of their lives.
