Daniel “DJ” Diveny Jr. is an American soccer creator and influencer. With an emphasis on soccer freestyling tricks and street moves, Diveny has built an audience of nearly two million across various social media platforms from scratch.[1] Diveny is a former Division 1 College Soccer player, and he now works as a coach in addition to building his career as a soccer freestyler performer and content creator.

Early Life

Diveny was born in Summit, New Jersey. He graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School in 2010 as a three-sport athlete. While in high school, Diveny competed as a member of the school’s swimming and track and field teams in addition to playing soccer.[2]

Soccer Career

After high school, Diveny continued his soccer career collegiately at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey. He played for the NJIT Highlanders for four seasons from 2011-2014. He saw action in 23 games as a defender throughout his four-year career with the team.

Despite graduating from NJIT with a major in applied astrophysics, Diveny decided to enter the soccer creative world as a professional freestyler.[1] As a digital content creator, Diveny posts a variety of soccer skills and training videos across multiple platforms. As of March 2021, he has a following of over 1M on Twitter and over 753.9K on TikTok.

Diveny’s skills videos and large social following have landed him attention from a number of national media outlets across the United States. For example, in 2019, he made a guest appearance as a freestyler on NBC Soccer's Premier League Mornings broadcast.[3]

He is represented professionally by Athelo Group, a sports agency based out of Stamford, Connecticut.[4]
