Samuel J. Wrightalph[4](born 4th May 1993),[5] better known by his stage name DJ TALPH[6], is a Kenyan EDM[7] disc jockey[8], record producer, fashionpreneur and businessman .He is the co-creator and member of the music group WeOwnFire and 2012 Best Male DJ act at the Mfalme DJ Awards in Malindi, Kenya.[9]
Early life[edit]
Jomo was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. He grew up around a dad who listened to all genres of music, which helped him in his love for music. A musical prodigy, he sang in the youth choir at his church and mastered the piano and drums at an early age. At age 21, he taught himself how to DJ and, during that period he came across Digital Audio Workstation, FL Studio and realised he could actually create music with it. He began taking music more seriously, dedicating almost all of his free time to programming beats.
Career[edit]
DJ TALPH started his musical career as a rapper in 2015[10] signed a record deal with Mabichwa Records. In 2017, using recording equipment provided by his family he quit rap for record production. DJ TALPH also has collaborated on projects and recordings with numerous performers and musicians.[11] == Awards and nominations ==[12]
