Patrick Chow, known professionally as DJ Young Chow, is a celebrity DJ and recording artist turned entrepreneur. He is the owner of Caribbean Kitchen [1] and The Vegan Meal Prep [2]. He is a resident DJ at Hot 97[3] in New York City.
Career
Recognized as one of the most visible people on the New York Caribbean music scene[4], he was nominated for the Global Spin Award [5]. He's worked with the likes of Cardi-B[6] and Hood Celebrity on the single "Island Girls [7] as well as releasing his first single, “Waist Gal,”[8] produced by Ricky Blaze.
DJ Young Chow has gained popularity in celebrity circles, including Hollywood actors, musicians, comedians, and other notable stars as a well-known Celebrity DJ. He independently puts together events and parties throughout New York City.
Young Chow headlines arenas all over the world. In 2009, he joined Funk Flex's Big Dawg Pitbull Crew[9], and in 2010, he toured with reggae artist, Gyptian[10]. He's been a recurring DJ for Safaree Samuels and headlined alongside Machel Montano.
Personal life
Young Chow is of Trinidadian and Chinese descent. His father, King Chow, a Soca DJ who sparked his interest in music as a toddler. Following in his father’s footsteps, at the age of 9, he played his first party in Miami at the Ramada Hotel. By age 11, Young Chow was traveling internationally with a steel band music instrument group.
