Deji Araoye[1] (born 16 July 1999), better known by his stage name DTG, is a British rapper, singer and YouTuber from Croydon, London. DTG started his career off as a YouTuber producing content ranging from gaming content, football content, indoor/outdoor challenges, funny public interviews in Central London & many more in 2016.
Early life[edit]
Deji Araoye was born in Mayday Hospital in Croydon. Deji Araoye re-located to Nigeria from the ages of 11-14 to pursue education.
Even though DTG was known for content creation on YouTube, he actually has a history of singing. He had been involved in Church & school choirs from the young age of 8. He represented British Jamaicans at the Guildford Catherdal as he performed with the national choir in 2008. He also took part in a talent show abroad in Nigeria in 2013 where he was placed in the finals alongside his partner (at the time) Isoken Arunde.
Career[edit]
In January 2019, DTG released "Theresa" which popped off for him and brought himself quite a lot of attention in the UK.[2] The track accumulated over a million YouTube views in under a month and over a million streams on all platforms.
On May 9th, 2019 DTG released "Theresa Remix" which featured S1 & Sneakbo.[3]
