DYBM (95.9 FM), broadcasting as 95.9 Smile Radio (or 95.9 Smile Internet Radio), is a radio station owned and operated by Kaissar Broadcasting Network. Its studio and transmitter are located at Brgy. Valencia, Carcar. This station is also available via its live streaming application on Facebook.[1][2]
History and background[edit]
Smile Radio was launched on December 18, 2019, as an online radio. In February 2020, Kaissar Broadcasting Network took over the management, and migrated to FM on 98.2 MHz (then moved to 96.9 MHz) where it started operations, a month before the COVID-19 pandemic amid the lockdown. In 2021, the station transferred its frequency to 95.9 MHz under the call letters DYBM.
By the time Smile Radio moved to the FM band, a granted of the station's broadcast permit approved by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) was still ongoing whilst KBNI proceeds to file petitions for case no. and frequency study to allowing DYBM started full broadcast and plans to expanded the signal coverage within the areas.
