DYRP (1017 AM) Life Radio is a radio station owned by Allied Broadcasting Center and operated by JPG Broadcasting Network. The station’s studio is located along Guzman-Jesena Street, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

History

  • First broadcast as DYRP in 1980.
  • It changed to Radyo Tagring after a few years when DYFM Bombo Radyo made it to number one spot in the radio survey in Iloilo. Along the success of DYRP-AM, DYXI-FM 93.5 was born. DYXI-FM was designed for the upscale radio listeners with jazz and disco music format as The Jazz Authority.
  • In 1990, DYRP went off air due to financial problems.
  • In 1994, its sister station, DYRO 945 kHz (Roxas City), had also gone off the air due to its transmitter damaged by a typhoon.
  • In 2007, it revived its broadcast before the 2007 elections and moved to Guimbal, Iloilo.
  • In 2008, DYRO merged its operations with DYRP.
  • In 2011, Allied Broadcasting Center was purchased by Hiligaynon Broadcast Group.
  • In 2025, the station returned on-air, after 35 years of silence, and JPG Broadcasting Network took over the operation of the station, under the new Life Radio. The station should not be confused with the Life Radio brand under End-Time Mission Broadcasting Service.
