Dabung Girl (Hindi: दबंग गर्ल) is a fictional, Indian comic book superhero character, published and distributed across the globe. Dabung Girl is India’s first adolescent girl superhero focusing on breaking gender stereotypes[1]. Created by Saurabh Agarwal[2], Dabung Girl character stays in Tadkapur with her father. Unlike other superheroes who fight evil enemies, she fights stereotypes, myths and taboos to make this world a better place[3]. Her real name is Tara, although her surname has not yet been disclosed. Dabung Girl was launched in 2019 at Comic Con Delhi. The word Dabung means ‘fearless’ in English.

Dabung Girl, aka Tara, is intelligent and has an elastic body is her superpower. She inspires girls to find the hero within, and boys to perceive the superhero in girls around them. She encourages her friends to find solutions to societal problems. Not only this, she tries to break the stereotypes and refuses to conform to the norms without understanding them. Dabung Girl enjoys studying, playing with her friends and helping others.

Attire

Dabung Girl’s attire includes her red cape, an eye mask, iron bracelets on her both wrist, a long yellow dress with blue leggings and a pair of black shoes. She also has a red spiral symbol on her dress.
