The film features the voices of Tim Curry, Doug Bradley, Tony Black, Will Collins, Josephine Puno, Hunter Mize, Laura Charlie Olson, Kurtis Stacey, Bryce Papenbrook, Emily O'Brien, Jack O'Halloran, Julian Seager, Charissa Pignatelli, Brad McMurray, David Sellers, Joshua Passmore, Cami Santos, Jordan Mayo, Adan De Paz, Jarod Clark. The film tells the story of the main protagonist Dagon, a troll assassin living on the fictional planet Goth, who is hired to steal a human child from the ambassador of earth. When Dagon finds out that the buyer really wants to kill and eat the human child, he goes rogue, determined to return her to her parents. He is accompanied on this quest by his friend Jaqualin and Jaqualin's life mate Maxine. Dagon is pursued by gangsters and hitmen as well as a demon named Necrofer, all of which are determined to kill him and take the child.

Development of Dagon: Troll World Chronicles began in late 2014 when Brit Sellers and Diane Sellers began character concept art and writing the screenplay. The film's title and premise were revealed in late 2016, along with Scoffer Studios casting; additional cast and crew members were assigned roles in the following months. In June of 2017 British film star Kurtis Stacey, best known for his role in the British television series Emmerdale , signed on to play the character Pressure. In July of 2019 Bryce Papenbrook from Attack on Titan, Emily O'Brien from The Young and the Restless, Jack O'Halloran from Superman 2, Julian Seager from Thor the Dark World, Brad McMurray from King Kong vs Godzilla, and Mark Silverman from Howl's Moving Castle joined the cast of Dagon Troll World Chronicles. Early screenings of the film occurred in 2017, where the first ten minutes of the film were previewed, and were met with positive feedback and overall praise. Traditional animation on the film began in November 2016 by the Scoffer Studios crew. The style of the animation has been likened to the 1973 animated film Fantastic Planet . Scoffer Studios met with fans at the Phoenix Fan Fusion comic con in 2019 and Branson con earlier that same year. Dagon Troll World Chronicles added Horror Film Stars Tim Curry and Doug Bradley to the cast in the summers of 2020 and 2022. Dagon Troll World Chronicles is set to be finished in 2023.
