Daily Mahasib is a Pakistani and Azad Kashmir newspaper, published daily in Urdu from Muzaffarabad, Abbottabad, Mirpur and Gilgit Baltistan. It is an ABC certified newspaper which provides national and international news. Daily Mahasib started from Abbottabad in 1997. The founder of Daily Mahasib was Zafar Hijazi and its chief editor is Zahida Perveen. It has eight pages and the retail cost of an issue is 10 Pakistani rupees.
Description
The Daily Mahasib newspaper was founded by Mr Zafar Hijazi (senior Chartered Accountant and ex Commissioner of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan “SECP”) in 1996, who was the man behind the success of Daily Observer and Al-Akbar. Hijazi launched his own newspaper in 1995 from Rawalpindi, the Daily Asas. It was a successful newspaper but due to differences, he left the newspaper after one year. Mr Zafar Hijazi was a well-known person in the newspaper industry.
Daily Mahasib covers an area starting from Bhimber of Azad Kashmir to Hunza valley of Northern Areas. It covers nearly 12 million people from different sizable cities like Abbottabad, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad and Dudial etc.
Because Daily Mahasib is not involved with any political or religious party, it enjoys editorial freedom and is widely circulated in Hazara District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Azad Kashmir. For people of Mirpur, it has Mahasib Mirpur and for people of Azad Kashmir and Muzaffarabad it has Mahasib Muzaffarabad. Besides this, Daily Mahasib covers Sports, Business, Showbiz from all across the world, social and political news and events. It provides jobs in cities where job opportunities exist and has become support for the less fortunate people.
