Dale L. Flesher is an accounting scholar and professor who contributes to the field of accounting research.[1] Flesher is married to Tonya K. [Maloney] Flesher. [2] Flesher is a long-time professor of accountancy and associate dean at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), having first joined the faculty in 1977. [3]:para. 15 He previously taught four years at Appalachian State University, two years at the University of Cincinnati, and three years at Ball State University. [3] :para. 15 Flesher has published over 50 book titles, plus over 300 journal articles, across over 100 professional journals. [3]:para. 1

Flesher served as president of the Academy of Accounting Historians in 1988 (as referenced in this message).[8] Flesher was editor of The Accounting Historians Notebook from 1980 to 1989. [9] :pg. 15 He then edited The Accounting Historians Journal from 1989 to 1994. [9]:pg. 16

In addition to his books on accounting organizational histories, he, along with Gary John Previts of Case Western Reserve University, wrote the screenplay and produced a 32-minute video in 1996 on the centennial history of the CPA Examination and the role of CPAs in America. Personal life[edit]
Flesher was born on June 27th, 1945. He is married to Tonya K. [Maloney] Flesher.[2] Tonya is a Professor Emerita, at Ole Miss as well and an expert in Tax accounting. [19] [20]. Together, they have one son, Flyn, who is an attorney and one daughter, Felicity, who works as a film archivist in Hollywood.[4]
