Dalma Capital is a Dubai-based hedge fund manager headquartered in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and is regulated as an asset manager by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). The company was originally founded in the United States in 2011, and the company currently manages the Dalma Unified Return Fund, headquartered in Malta, which is open only to institutions and qualified high-net-worth investors.[1]

History[edit]

Dalma Capital Management was originally established in 2011 in Delaware, USA and became a Registered Investment Advisor in the State of North Carolina in 2012. In 2013, the company expanded its operations to the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and became licensed by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) as an asset manager in 2014. The company has representatives and offices in the European Union, the United States, Cayman Islands and Dubai. It is a member of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA).[2]

Services[edit]

Unified Return Fund, the current Dalma Capital fund, has been in a preparation with six years of development planning based on back-testing of global markets over the previous 47 years.[3]

Charity[edit]

In October 2014, Dalma Capital signed a deal with Emirates Foundation for Youth Development, the charity organisation chaired by Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, that has the potential to bring millions of dirhams for the foundation’s projects. According to the agreement, Dalma will donate 15% of the fees it receives from any Emirati individual or institution to the foundation for its philanthropic initiatives in social inclusion, community engagement and leadership empowerment.[4][5] It has a similar agreement with the Ollyy Fund in the UK, which is linked to investment levels Dalma Capital receives from UK based investors.[6]
