Damon Garwood (born September 1979) is an English field hockey player who represents England Masters Men's Over-45s. He represented England at the 2024 World Masters Hockey World Cup in Auckland, New Zealand,[1] and was a member of the England team that won the Men's O45 title at the 2025 European Masters Championship in Valencia, Spain.[2]
Garwood has played club and representative hockey in England, New Zealand and Australia. In Masters hockey he has represented South East England and England at O45 level.
Outside hockey, Garwood has worked in the sports and entertainment media industry, including as Managing Director, Digital and Technology Services at international sports media-rights company MP & Silva.[3]
Hockey career
Garwood's playing career has included club hockey in England as well as periods playing in New Zealand and Australia.
He has represented clubs including Holcombe, Sutton Valence, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks.
Garwood later became involved with Sevenoaks Hockey Club as a player, coach and administrator. England Hockey match records list him in Sevenoaks teams and later as team manager and assistant coach.[4]
