Damon Nam (born June 15, 1977 in Dallas, Texas) is a technology executive, Microsoft alumnus, and entrepreneur. He spent seventeen years working for Microsoft before spending six years in the blockchain sector, where he focused on decentralized finance as the founder of Coin and an adviser to HODLVERSE. As a community-owned DAO for premium lifestyle products and services, PRIVÉ, which Damon co-founded. [1]

Background[edit]

Damon was born in Dallas and raised there. His parents were immigrants who arrived to the United States from Vietnam during the war under a refugee sponsorship scheme. They had modest beginnings, supported by government funds for public housing and food. Their whole dining table was often just a carton turned upside down.

Achievements[edit]

Damon spent seventeen years working at Microsoft, where he had a successful corporate career. He quit Microsoft to follow his dream of founding his own technology company and has spent the last six years working as a founder in the blockchain sector. His companies have been successful throughout this period in raising millions in finance and income.

Education and Career[edit]

Damon attended Southern Methodist University where he majored in information technology and received his Bachelor of Science in Business in 1999. He worked with Microsoft for seventeen years, serving in a variety of capacities within the Microsoft Services division. In his first position as a Technical Account Manager, Damon represented Microsoft's Fortune 1000 clients in the Central Region as a liaison and customer champion. A few years later, he changed roles and joined Microsoft's Services group as a Resource Manager, where he helped the internal field teams by offering delivery options. As the US Services Program Director in his previous position at Microsoft, he was in charge of leading and overseeing the Preferred Services Partner program for the US division, which had over 75 partner firms and a total revenue book of over $90 million.
