Dan Kleban is the co-owner of Maine Beer Company and was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the 2026 United States Senate election in Maine.
Early life and career
Kleban dropped out of college several times before earning a degree from the University of Southern Maine in 2004.[1] He would later graduate from the Boston College Law School in 2007.[2]
Maine Beer Company
Kleban began his career as an attorney in Portland, but would later open a brewery.[3][4] Kleban later served as the head of the Maine Brewers’ Guild and in the National Brewers Association.[5][6]
Senate campaign
In September, 2025, Kleban announced his candidacy for Senate. Kleban cited Senator Susan Collins’s vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh and her broken promise on abortion rights as a betrayal. Kleban largely campaigned on education and housing.[7]
