Dan "Cool Hand Uke" Scanlan is an American musician, songwriter, author, and teacher who has been playing the ukulele since 1961[1]. Scanlan "has a vast repertoire that spans all the years of American Popular Music from Broadway, Folk, Bluegrass and Country to Rock n Roll... His strumming and playing style is strong, sturdy and rock solid, with slides, glissando's, taps, triplets, tremolo and a two finger solo picking style that is highly effective."[2] He has written three books on the ukulele and has released numerous albums.[3]
