Dan Silver is an American record producer, known as SILVER, who operates from both East and West coasts. Silver's portfolio includes his contributions to the production of "Chimes of Freedom: The Album of Bob Dylan Songs Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International," working with esteemed artists such as Seal and Jeff Beck, Billy Bragg, and Evan Rachel Wood. With producers Mark Hudson and Martin Lewis, Silver played a pivotal role in engineering and co-mixing the "Like A Rolling Stone" recording sessions[1]. These sessions featured esteemed musicians Seal (vocals), Jeff Beck (guitar), Russ Kunkel (drums), Leland Sklar (bass), Jim Cox (Hammond B3 organ), and Laurence Juber (guitar) at The Village and Hudson's Santa Monica studio hosted these sessions, with additional vocals and instruments recorded at Silver's Victory Road Studio. Martin Lewis later released a mini-documentary[2] and music video[3] detailing the collaborative efforts behind tracking "Like A Rolling Stone" with Seal & Jeff Beck.

Silver's influence extends to co-production and performance on "Back 2 The Way It Was" and "State of The Union," in collaboration with producer Thayod Ausar, for Xzibit's 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' (Sony)[4]. He also played a key role in crafting "Forever Free" with the South African electronic duo GoldFish (Armada), and co-writer Nate Highfield[5]. His role of a remixer extends to having co-produced tracks with Ruckus Roboticus by iconic musicians like Muddy Waters, Edgar Winter, and Elvis. At Rancho De La Luna studio in Joshua Tree, Silver has appeared as co-producer, engineer, and contributing musician on projects by Mojave Lords[6], Masters of Reality, and Smith & Pyle.

Silver's early production career grew while serving as assistant audio engineer at the original Swing House in Los Angeles, where he worked on countless late recording night sessions with engineer C.J. Buscaglia (Green Jellÿ), and touring rehearsals, for renowned acts including John Frusciante, The Breeders, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, Janes Addiction, Iggy Pop, Audioslave, Danny Sage, and George Thorogood.

A recipient of the 2021 Gold Telly Award, for "My Girl" produced and performed by Final Child and SILVER, in the Prodigal Son Music Video on Fox[7]. His film and TV production extends to broadcast mixes for the annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor held at The Kennedy Center, honoring luminaries Steve Martin, Lorne Michaels, and Lily Tomlin, and more[8][9][10]. Not only mixing all aspects of the show's live audio for broadcast, Silver was also credited for the music mixes of Paul Simon's live performance.
