Dan Yemin
Dan Yemin
Daniel B. Yemin (Born in June 1968)[1] is the vocalist for the Philadelphia-based Hardcore band Paint It Black.
Personal Life
Yemin was born into an Upper-Class family in the Bronx, around June 1968.[1] He was born to Jewish parents, but avoids organized religion. Yemin is vegan.[1]
His career started as a teenager with his mom’s electric guitar. This would be the foundation for his early love of punk rock.[2]
At the age of 32, Yemin suffered a stroke, which caused him to re-evaluate his life and career as a clinical psychologist. The title for Paint It Blacks' “CVA”, a.k.a. Cerebrovascular Accident, was inspired from the event. While Yemin became lead singer for the band Paint It Black post-stroke, it was not due to the stroke.[2]
Dan Yemin has two children, aged 12 and 15 respectively.[3]
