Dana Barrett (born March 7, 196_) is an Dana Barrett is a TV/Radio Host and political candidate from the State of Georgia. In October of 2018, she launched her campaign for the United States House of Representatives in Georgia's 11th Congressional District.

Early life and education[edit]

Barrett was born in Philadelphia, PA, where she lived until attending Cornell University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration. After graduation, Barrett moved to Atlanta, GA, where she has lived for the past three decades.

Tech Sector[edit]

Immediately after graduating, Dana Barrett began her career in the tech sector, where she taught herself to _______. She held titles that ranged from Installation Representative to Vice President of Technology.

Media[edit]

Has always liked to talk and has done so on the radio since the early 90s including a stint as a traffic reporter on WSB in Atlanta and a long running author interview podcast called Midtown Review.

Has always liked the spotlight and has appeared doing stand-up comedy and on community theater stages around Atlanta as well as her more recent foray into TV & Film.

On-camera work includes work a stint as host of Atlanta Tech Edge on the Atlanta NBC affiliate, corporate video for PR Video and Cox Communications.

Entrepreneurial[edit]

Is a serial entrepreneur having owned the tech firm DB Consulting, a bookstore in Roswell, Georgia called Coffee Buy The Book, and  now the media company, DB Media, LLC.

2020 Congressional Campaign[edit]

On October 11, 2019, the AJC reported that Dana Barrett would leave her position at her political talk radio show to run for the United States House of Representatives of Georgia's 11th Congressional District in the 2020 Democratic Party primary.

On, June, 9, 2020, Dana Barrett officially became the Democratic nominee in an unopposed contest. She now faces Republican Incumbent, Barry Loudermilk in the General Election.

Dana Barrett lives in Atlanta, GA. She is a single mother of one adult daughter.
