Dana Giordano (born December 30, 1993) is an American middle-distance runner who specializes in the 1500 m from Bernardsville, New Jersey. She joined the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) in early 2020 and is coached by B.A.A High Performance Coach Ricardo Santos.[1] She started a TikTok in March of 2020 that now has more than 20,000 followers where she gives tips and advice[2] on running. In April of 2020 she started a podcast[3] called More Than Running with Dana Giordano where she talks with "the most inspirational and insightful women in running".
High school
She attended Bernards High School, where she ran track and field and cross country. She finished third at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in her 2012 season running a 2 mile[4] in 10:16.30. She also ran a leg in 4×Mile[5] in 21:02.79 (5:15.7/mile average) with her teammates Laura Quintana, Katherine Gunson, and Zoe Wojtech at the same meet.[6]

College
She attended Dartmouth College in 2012, where she continued to run track and field and cross country. She finished 31st during the 2013 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships[7] her sophomore year where her teammate Abbey D'Agostino finished first for the women's 6 km. She also finished 45th and 66th in 2014 and 2015 in the NCAA Women's Division I Cross Country Championship.[8][9] In 2015, Giordano competed in the 2015 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships[10] running the 3000 m in 9:16.20 finishing 12th. Four months later she ran the 5000 m at the 2015 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships[11] in 17:12.54 finishing 23rd. In November 2015 she finished 66th place in the 2015 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.[9] In 2016, Giordano competed in the 2016 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships,[12] finishing first in the semi-finals in a time of 4:13.18 and placing third in the finals in a personal best time of 4:11.86.

Giordano ranked 83rd in the world in the 1500 m with a personal best of 4:08.62 ran during the heats of the 2018 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She also ran a 5 km race in 15:47 personal best in April.
2019
Giordano ran a personal best in the mile, both indoor and outdoor with a time of 4:34.29i and 4:33.07.[13] This ranked her 50th place indoor and 33rd place outdoor in the world for the season for the mile. She also ran a 1500 m season best in 4:14.66.
2020
Giordano set a personal best of 4:10.31i during the BU Last Chance in 2020 placing her 5th in her heat. This ranked her 46th in the world for the 2019/2020 indoor season. She also set a personal best in the 3000 m during the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational in a time of 8:51.78i ranking her 25th in the world for the 2019/2020 indoor season.
