Dancebox
Dancebox Studios & Theatre Works is a British dance and musical theatre training provider based in Milton Keynes, England. The organisation offers junior classes and vocational performing arts training, and is listed as a partner institution of Buckinghamshire New University for degree courses delivered at its Milton Keynes campus.[1][2]
History
Dancebox was founded in 2014 by Matthew and Tom Linecar-Boulton.[3] The company Dancebox Studios & Theatre Works Ltd was incorporated in June 2023.[4]
Dancebox operates from Regency Court, Upper Fifth Street, Milton Keynes.[5]
In April 2026, Bedford Borough Council approved plans for Dancebox to take a lease on part of the former Beales department store in Bedford town centre, with the proposed relocation subject to planning permission.[6][7][8]
A subsequent report in the Bedford Independent said the proposal had been welcomed by Bedford's mayor, while also prompting discussion about the future use of nearby council buildings, including the library.[9]
Academic provision
Dancebox is identified by Buckinghamshire New University as one of its UK education partners.[10] Courses listed through UCAS at Dancebox include BA (Hons) programmes in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre and Professional Commercial Dance & Performance, awarded by Buckinghamshire New University.[11][12]
Buckinghamshire New University's 2025–2029 Access and Participation Plan also lists Dancebox among partner institutions whose students may be eligible for specified bursary support.[13]
