Dancehall
From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
Dancehall is a genre of Jamaican famous music that started in the last part of the 1970s. At first, dancehall was a more scanty adaptation of reggae than the roots style, which had overwhelmed a large part of the 1970s. During the 1980s, advanced instrumentation turned out to be more pervasive, changing the sound impressively, with computerized dancehall (or "ragga") turning out to be progressively described by quicker rhythms. Key components of dancehall music incorporate its broad utilization of Jamaican Patois rather than Jamaican standard English and an emphasis on the track instrumentals (or "riddims").
