Dangerous Intuition is a 2013 mystery thriller television film directed by Roger Christian starring Tricia Helfer, Estella Warren, Dylan Neal and David Cubitt.

Plot

Kate shares custody of her daughter Isabel with her ex-husband Dan, but has had recurring premonitions that his new wife Laura will hurt Isabel. Attempts to get Dan's mother Barbara involved are unsuccessful, and Laura has been pushing for Dan to seek full custody of Isabel, arguing that Kate is unstable. While in court, Dan's lawyer uses these premonitions against Kate and also insinuates that she has a drinking problem, which prompts the judge to order a psychiatric evaluation. In an attempt to find more information about Laura, Kate's lawyer Hugh discovers that she had changed her name at some point. This, along with the suspicious death of Barbara, who had also been looking into Laura's past, makes Kate even more sure that Laura means Isabel harm.

Hugh discovers that Laura was previously married but that her last husband and stepdaughter died in a car accident. The deceased's ex-wife believes that Laura did it; however, Hugh dismisses Kate's concerns by saying that the man had been drinking and driving. After learning that her recent actions will likely result in Hugh losing custody, Kate tries to flee to Canada with Isabel, but is caught. Meanwhile, Dan learns that his mother was murdered and becomes suspicious of Laura. While he is questioning her, Dan leaves to investigate a suspicious noise, but is stabbed in the back by an unseen person.

Kate is informed that Dan is in the hospital but that Laura and Isabel are missing. She goes to investigate at Dan's house and discovers a box filled with articles about a young girl who hid while her father John murdered her mother. Realizing that the girl is Laura, Kate realizes that Laura is taking Isabel to her childhood home and informs Hugh, who rushes to the home with the police.

At the home, Kate finds Laura but not Isabel. Laura reveals that she and Isabel were abducted by her father, who believes that Laura is her dead mother and Isabel is her daughter. Kate is attacked by John, but saved by Laura, who shoots him to death. Hugh and the police arrive, and Kate makes peace with Laura, then takes her daughter home.
