Daniel Goetz is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, best known as the Founder and CEO of GoodPop.[1][2][3] Goetz was awarded Top CEO 2023 by the Austin Chamber of Commerce in September 2023[4] Goetz founded GoodPop as a college senior in 2009 while a student at the University of Texas in Austin.[5][2] GoodPop has since become a frozen treat brand carried in grocery stores across the United States, with the brand and Goetz gaining national notoriety after Goetz's live interview with Tamron Hall on MSNBC.[6] GoodPop is a privately held company, based in Austin, Texas.

Philanthropy[edit]

Goetz is the founder of 501(c)(3) organization Pledge Good Foundation[7] through which Goetz and GoodPop donated 1.5 Million Meals to Feeding America in 2022.[8][9]

Early Life[edit]

Goetz attended Bellaire High School (Texas) and played wide receiver, kicker and punter on the football team. In 2003, Goetz led the state of Texas in yards per catch (24.4) and received recognition as a 5A All State wide receiver (honorable mention)[10], the only wide receiver to do so in Bellaire's history. Goetz went on to play college football [11], playing wide receiver at The University of Colorado BoulderColorado Buffaloes football in 2004 prior to transferring to the University of Texas at Austin where he went on to study Advertising in the Moody College of Communication, where he founded GoodPop in 2009.
