Daniel Mishell Jr. M.D. was a leader in obstetrics and gynecology for neary 50 years and served as the chairman of obstetrics and gynecology at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for 26 years.<ref> https://keck.usc.edu/in-memoriam-daniel-mishell-jr-84/ <ref> He was a pioneer in the fields of contraception, infertility, and menopause and served as the editor of the journal Contraception for 40 years and was one of the four original authors of the textbook Comprehensive Gynecology.
