Daniel Rossing
Daniel Rossing (1946-2010) was an academic, humanitarian, and philanthropist who founded the Jerusalem Center for Jewish Christian Relations (JCJCR) in 2004, which aims to improve interfaith relations between Christians and Jews in Israel.[1] Rossing was awarded the Mount Zion Award in 2009, in recognition for his contribution to developing dialogue and understanding between Jews, Christians, and Muslims throughout Jerusalem and Israel. He was also the author of Between Heaven and Earth: Churches and Monasteries of the Holy Land, which details the location of Christian communities and religious sites throughout Israel-Palestine.[2] After his death, the Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue was created and named in his honour, with the JCJCR becoming one of its main programs.[3]
