Danijal Hadžović (born 1988 in Sarajevo) is a Bosnian journalist, columnist, and publicist, known for his advocacy of classical liberalism, secularism, and free market economics in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the founder and director of the non-governmental organization Liberalni forum.
Career
Hadžović began his journalistic career in 2008 at Radio 202. He later worked for the online platform Depo.ba, Federal Television (FTV), and the political magazine Slobodna Bosna. Since 2020, he has been a journalist and editor at the daily newspaper Dnevni avaz.[1]
His work focuses on political commentary, economic liberalism, and criticism of populism and nationalism in the post-socialist transition of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Liberalni forum
In 2017, Hadžović founded the Liberalni forum, a Sarajevo-based think tank and advocacy organization promoting liberal-democratic values, individual freedoms, and market-oriented reforms. The organization is a member of the international Atlas Network and organizes the annual Economics Olympiad for high school students across Bosnia and Herzegovina.[2]
Publications
Hadžović is the author of numerous opinion pieces and essays. He is currently working on a book titled After Socialism – Still Socialism, analyzing the persistence of socialist mentalities and state dominance in the Bosnian economy.[3]
